Laser Treatment: Precision Skincare with Lasting Results
Laser treatments are powerful tools for targeting everything from pigmentation and redness to fine lines and scars. Different types of lasers—ablative, non-ablative, and fractional—allow customization for each concern.
For pigmentation, Q-switched lasers are effective. For texture and scarring, fractional CO2 lasers work by resurfacing the skin. Vascular lasers help with redness and broken capillaries. Laser hair removal, too, uses specific wavelengths to safely destroy follicles.
Downtime varies, but results are often transformative. Always choose a certified provider for safe, effective outcomes.
How Lasers Work
Lasers (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) work on the principle of selective photothermolysis—targeting specific tissues based on their ability to absorb particular wavelengths of light while minimizing damage to surrounding structures.
When the targeted tissue absorbs the laser energy, it converts to heat, causing controlled damage that stimulates healing and regeneration. Different lasers target different "chromophores" (light-absorbing molecules) such as melanin, hemoglobin, or water.
